Erik Heaney is a cloud engineer and senior software engineer with experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale system automation. In 2025, Erik Heaney joined InnerOptic Technology as a senior software engineer. In this role, he ensures reliability and accuracy in medical technology development. In addition, he creates automation scripts that reduce manual operational tasks and improve the efficiency of regression testing workflows.
Before joining InnerOptic Technology, Mr. Heaney worked as a senior software engineer at Solid State Scientific Corp in Nashua, New Hampshire. There, he deployed and maintained mission-critical AWS infrastructure using Terraform. One of his most significant projects involved designing and deploying a secure remote desktop gateway application built with Apache Guacamole, Nginx, ReactJS, and SAML OAuth authentication.
